Steamboat is getting dumped on as we speak! The last snow report was that we had received 8inches of new snow and it has continued to snow since then. All day locals and visitors alike were covered in snow covered ear to ear grins. No matter where you went on the mountain whether it be Sundown, tree skiing or the hike up to East Face it was worth every minute. Today was a beautiful day here in Steamboat. Not only was the weather phenomenal but so was the skiing. After a long weekend of constant cloud cover delivering snow to Mt. Werner, the sun decided to show its face and give us a bluebird day. With not a cloud in the sky tourists and locals alike were able to find some soft snow hidden in the trees but also were able to rip down the groomers. President's weekend turned out to be a very busy weekend here at Black Tie. We had a ton of fun seeing all of the familiar faces that escape Mardi Gras each year. A majority of the friends and families that we fit with skis were decked out to the max in their Saints gear and Mardi Gras beads. Many still glowing from the victory.
